debut album ~ only human ~ out now
Released Oct. 18, 2025, my debut album takes you deep into the forest and out beyond the stars. It's at once a quiet meditation and a raucous cry of joy and vitality. The vinyl record demanded a different sequence of songs than the digital version. And side B is a personal favorite.
These songs came together slowly, over the course of a few years of introspection, massive change, and most importantly, attending courses at the School of Song (love you fam). All in all, I ended up with 10 lovely songs, and I wanted to do right by them. Jesse Lemme Adams (Royal Jelly Jive) produced and engineered the record in Sonoma, California, where we were both living at the time. And this record would not exist without him, and all the other friends and family who make this record happen.

About
Winona is a musician, songwriter, and performer based in Northern California. Her songs are mythic, her vocals haunting, full of melancholic longing and timeless beauty. Rooted in the folk music of the 1960s and inspired by modern indie songstresses, Winona’s sound is at once nostalgic and dew-fresh unique. Her influences include Feist, Kate Wolf, Courtney Marie Andrews, and (of course) Joni.
Now backed by an immensely talented band, Winona’s songs are free to come entirely alive, with shimmering chord progressions, siren-like harmonies, and melodies that will spirit you away to the stars.
In addition to her own music, she can be seen performing as one third of the folk trio Wyld Iris, singing sweet harmonies in the Laura T Lewis Band, or collaborating with other musical friends.
